Pastors
Calvary is blessed with two Pastors who share in the pastorial duties of the church.
Lead Pastor: Rev. Doug Paysour was appointed to Calvary in June of 2011. He comes to us from Fincastle where he finished an 11 year appointment. Doug completed his undergraduate work at Pfieffer College in Richfield, NC and obtained his Masters of Divinity at Vanderbilt University. While in seminary, Doug interned for a local church, where he met his wife, Gail.He moves to Stuarts Draft with his wife and son, Ben. He has two other sons, Jacob, who is currently studying at Virginian Wesleyan and working as an intern at the Center for American Progress, and Matthew, who is a freshman at the University of Virginia.
Associate Pastory: Rev. Sarah Locke is serving her second year at Calvary. She was commissioned at Annual Conference in June 2011 and is currently a Provisional Candidate for Ordination. We wish her luck as she continues to work and write her way to becoming a United Methodist Elder! Sarah and her husband Joseph celebrated their son Jed's first birth this past November.Sarah is a graduate of William and Mary and has obtained a Masters of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. Her husband Joseph, also a William and Mary alum holds a Masters of History from Duke University.
