Worship
Calvary has three worship services. Everyone is invited to attend and participate fully in any service. Our church celebrates in worship through singing, reading Scripture, prayer, and sermons. On the first Sunday of the month, and each Wednesday evening we celebrate the Lord's Supper, and the table is open for all to share.
Our worship times are Sundays at 8:30 am and 11:00 am. These services last about one hour. Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm we gather for a half-hour service of praise and prayer.
At Sunday's services you may wear anything you feel comfortable in, as there will be folks in everything from suits and dresses to blue jeans and t-shirts. You will not be called upon to say anything or to identify yourself as a visitor. On Wednesday evenings casual dress is the order and this service is led with with praise music.
Our church's worship is not one focused on making you believe a series of doctrines, we do some teaching, but our
worship is not directed at your head, we rather aim at your heart. We want you to come to love the God that we love, and then love one another. Our worship is to help us to be God focused in our day, in our homes and in our lives. In reading of scripture, singing, prayers, and sharing of joys and concerns, we learn to worship the God who loves us, yes, even you, and then we can love one another. For only those who know they are loved have the strength to love. Come and learn of God's love at Calvary.
